| We just finished what I call my budget kitchen update..even though it cost a lot, could have been worse. Anyway, I did replace all appliences, and new ones are computerized. Someone in kitchens mentioned a surge protector for house, I never heard of this before, and would like to know if you would suggest one?

| There was a previous thread here late last year about this topic -- see the link below. As I recall, it may be wise especially if you live in an area where there are relatively frequent power outages. Power surges from wind storms or lightening can damage electronics in newer appliances, and these aren't cheap to repair. |
