AG Range: really tight apartment delivery?

Looking for advice about getting large appliances delivered through tiny apartment corridors and doorways. (I'm in NYC.)

There's a little vestibule doorway off of the hallway of my building. Through that is the door to my apartment.

This vestibule door is quite skinny. I'd thought I could have the door removed for delivery, then reattached afterwards, but was just told by building management that the door might get "damaged" (? it's a door?) and so cannot be removed.

This, unfortunately, leaves me with just a hair under 28" clearance.

Most ranges I've been looking at, with the front panels and the door handles, measure anywhere from 29" to 31".

Has anyone ever had appliances delivered with the doors, or even the doors and front panels, detached, and then reattached by a repairman? Is that completely nuts, or even possible? Really at a loss for what to do, other than cozy up to the idea of a 24" oven. (I have to be all gas, so can't do a cooktop/wall oven combo.)

Many thanks for any insights.
