REVOL cookware--ceramic but induction and microwave useable

Posted by wallycat (My Page) on

I was paging through a March 2012 Food and Wine and spotted the Revol they were discussing.
Went to the website and the Revol Revolution is supposed to be ceramic but induction and microwave useable.
Has anyone tried this? Heard of this?
Their process is proprietary according to their website so I am a bit skeptical on what this is...

anyone? comments? thoughts? insight??

I remember way back when there were ceramics made for microwaves that has iron 'filings' embedded in the base. You could preheat them in a microwave and fry/brown things in them.
