 o
GE or Kitchenaid

Remodeling a kitchen and starting to look at appliance. A friend of my sister who works for ABT Electronics recommended either GE or Kitchenaid. Looking from comments from anyone who owns either brand. Which brand would you choose?

Thanks

I have had Kitchenaid dishwashers for the past 10 years with few or no problems.

I own 3 KA dishwashers (my home and two rental units) and I love them, I've never had any real problems with them and they've been great.

I own a GE Profile range that I also love. A friend of mine has a KA gas range and it has an obnoxious electrical hum to it. He should get it fixed, but hasn't bothered.

I guess, from my perspective they're both solid brands. I'd probably get KA for the dishwasher and GE for the range/oven.

There have been issues with GE microwaves and KA wall ovens.

KA makes good DWs and fridges but their ovens have had problems. GE makes bad fridges.

Most people don't get all appliances from one brand. Research the individual appliances you are interested in.
