Micro turn table belt slip I assume?

Frigidaire 1000w microwave mod=7G62500990

The turn table turns but sounds like a belt is slipping -- if it has one.
The 3 forked (that has a plate) fit's into a cogged hole and it turns but sounds bad so we have to turn the option OFF each time we us it or keep hearing the noise.

What do you thing is happening and how hard is it to fix??

Usually a very small geared down shaded pole motor.

Depending on the brand, a new microwave might be cheaper than trying to replace the part (especially with labor thrown in).

GE (among others) charges a lot for parts.

Have you checked the wheels on the Y thingy? Mine get gummed up and start making a noise as they drag along.

I have had it a long time but it's a shame that I would have to throw it away but anyway;

So you've had these things apart and it's a very small geared down shaded pole motor under the floor area because I sure can't see anything with the "Y" thing pulled out??

Are they hard to get apart ?
