Samsung Waterwall dishwasher

We're in the market for a new dishwasher and looking at the Samsung with the waterwall technology, model DW80H9930US. I'm finding reviews and videos of the 9970, which is the higher end model, but not as much on the 9930. Has anyone tried either of these yet?

RE: Samsung Waterwall dishwasher

I would avoid it. First of all, it's a Samsung. They aren't exactly known for reliable dishwashers. Second of all, it's new and unproven. Finally, it looks like a stupid design. The moving arm is NOT powered by water pressure as it may seem; it has its own motor and rubber belt. There's something else to break, and the bottom of a dishwasher is a pretty harsh environment. Also, from the videos I've seen the spray action looks super weak, even relative to newer dishwashers. Just go with one of the established American or European brands. My picks would be Miele if you have a higher budget and want the most quality/reliability, or Maytag if you want the most raw cleaning power, an affordable price, a grinder, and heated dry.
