GE range back splash

Posted by darkengery (My Page) on

My wife and I recently purchased a GE electric range with the controls on the front. The back of the range sits 3" from the wall. That is a trap for everything. Does anyone have any ideas? A wooden shelf to close the gap could possibly burn.

Why does it sit 3" back? What obstacle is preventing you from pushing it back flush against the wall?

A SS shelf could work.

I know custom is expensive and off the shelf can not possibly look good but I guess those are the options; not necessarily SS but expensive/custom and inexpensive/off the shelf.

Wood shelf covered in tile that matches backsplash?

A shelf made from piece of leftover granite?
