I am building a new kitchen and am considering 30" Miele Independence series all refrigerator as well as a refrig/freezer vs SubZero. Anyone who has experience with the Miele refrigeration products?

I have Miele DW, Hood, Oven, and Vac. SubZero UC Freezer (3rd in 2 years). Refrigerator is a Kenmore (ran out of $$). The Miele products are engineered brilliantly. Miele (or Liebherr) would get my vote.

Me too. Love them. Happy to answer any questions but do do a search on this as I wrote an extensive review in the last few weeks that should answer lots of Miele questions

I am new to this website and cannot find the review written by "Loves2cook4six".
I am interested especially to learn about the reliability, repair record and any sense of comparison with SubZero. I have heard some concerns as noted above by "cooked" about the frequent need for servicing of SubZero. Still, it is a known brand and Miele's larger refrigeration products are made specifically for the US market and are still without much history. I really would love to hear how satisfied people have been with their Miele Refrig or Freezer purchaces as well as hear from people who have SubZeros. THANKS!!

Do yourself a favor and go with the Miele. Either way you are going to get the independent refrigerator / freezer cooling system that Sub Zero has been known for.

Also, check out the Thermador and Bosch (you may get a close-out deal on the Bosch, as they are discontinuing a lot of the models and making them exclusive to the Thermador line) as they are all pretty much the same thing on the inside.

So what is wrong with the current new BI Subzero's? I bought one and think they are great. It was thousands less than the Miele, my wife can reach evey shelf and it holds a ton of stuff. Like the soft close on the bottom 3 drawers and the 3 drawers hold a ton of fruuits/veg.
