I got to a point where I slowly convinced my wife to not get matching appliances and I have the go ahead for Costco 30'' Bluestar with 15k burners.

I would like a range hood that is a well made is is on the quiet side with 600cfm. I know they won't be quiet but some of the cheaper hoods whine like crazy and when I touch the knobs on them they feel like $1 store knobs that are about to fall off :)

I was wondering if Bluestar hoods are any good since they look well constructed, but I could not find any discussion on them yet.
Otherwise I'm guessing our budget would be around $1000 to get a decent hood.
It has to be under cabinet mounted.
