Bosch Dishwasher

Purchasing a new Bosch Dishwasher Either SHV7ER53UC (42dBA) or a SHV9ER53UC (39dBA) Quiet is important as it is for a condo and the living room is 40 feet from the open kitchen. Does anyone know if there is a huge difference in a 39 or 42 dBA as the cost difference is quiet substantial!

RE: Bosch Dishwasher

we have a 42db version our couch is 10 feet away (open concept kitchen livingroom). We have no issues with it all all. Once in a while you hear very low level splashing, its like lake water at the very edge of the lake brushing up against a rock. I actually enjoy hearing it because i can't believe how quite the unit is. You don't even hear it at all with the tv on. I'd save the money.

We have a Bosch with a 50dBA and I can easily have a telephone conversation just five feet away while it's chugging along. As the previous poster mentioned, you'll hear some splashing from time to time, but that's about all.
