Hello All! I have been checking this site for months while in the midst of a kitchen renovation. Although I found the community extremely helpful and informative (as in what would I have done without all of you?!) I wanted to start a thread on anyone out there who has taken advantage of the recent Thermador appliance promotion. I have only been using my appliances for a short time, but am very pleased with all of them. Unfortunately, I have found very little positive feedback and am wondering if the brand's reputation has been unnecessarily sullied. I purchased the following: Pro-Harmony duel fuel 48" range with griddle (love) The price as compared to the Wolf/SubZero package was thousands less - Did anyone else jump in and take the chance on this brand? Would love to hear your thoughts -

I did the whole package last summer as part of a new build. Search this forum for Thermador, you'll see a thread "Any positive Thermador reviews?." Probably more than you ever wanted to know. It's all been good for me so far. Others have had different experiences.

Thank you joc6820! I found the thread you mentioned - I agree with others in that as far as negative reviews go, you can find many on any brand, high end or not. I'm happy so far - and as far as reliability goes, my parents have had Thermador double wall ovens since 1983, and they are still going strong. Granted, many changes I'm sure in manufacturing the product since then, but just thought I would mention it.

I have a Thermador cooktop and dbl wall oven that are 13 years old and honestly, never had a major problem with either. The only thing I have constantly had issues with is the downdraft on the cooktop. I will never get another downdraft. My new kitchen will have a vent hood! I am looking at the Thermador for my new kitchen reno which will be happening in the Fall. However also looking at other brands.

I read negative reviews too about Thermador. I went with Bosch which is the same but has different light colors (Thermador lights are blue on many appliances). I'm pleased with a Bosch wall oven and dishwasher and the price was not bad. There are showrooms throughout the country you can test all the appliances and go to seminars that cook with the Thermador appliances and show you how they fill the dishwashers, etc. One is Murray-Purcell or maybe it's Purcell-Murray near San Francisco and I think there are similar places around the country. A friend went with all Thermador about 4 years ago and is pleased.
