I've had an Elux oven, Speed oven for 7 years, no problems of any kind including keypads. I've had the Elux induction cook top for 5 years and again no problems.

Have a Jenn-air 48" built in fridge, no problems with it either, cept an ice maker that died after about 5 years, was easy to replace myself, and cost about $135. (You might want to compare that to other posts here that have had to call service when the ice maker failed, and the cost of replacing those), anyway, no keypad problems with the JA either.

You must be looking at Electric Ranges?, as gas ranges with "Touch pads" are "far and few between".

If that be the case, I can tell you that the touch pad on my electric (Non induction) cooktop were a "Nightmare" from almost day ONE!!!! Unlike induction, the whole cooktop gets hot, grease, water, juices~~~~U name it would get on that touchpad and disable it!!!!! So bad that we junked the thing in less than 2 years and it was an expensive beast and a 36" semi circle so I had to redo my granite too, (to a rectangular cutout!

Because of the (above), I would not touch any electric range or cooktop that was not induction, been there, done that!!!
