A rangetop will always be upper end in pricing. If you want more budget, look for a cooktop instead. For high performance, the Bluestar cooktop will probably be the most bang for the buck, but there are lesser capable choices at a lesser price as well. It all depends on what you cook and the vent that you will need to pair with it how cheap you can manage the pair.

I'm just a average cook. I don't do anything special. More of a country cook...if that makes sense

I like the look of the RangeTop better than the cooktops. So If anyone out there has a rangetop that they can recommend I'm all ears!
