The gas range top will now have the same top as the duel fuel range with sealed burners and the duel layer burners. I was told this was for production efficiency (1 line vs 2) and will go into effect shortly.

There are still gas rangetop models out there and I'm guessing there will be some cheap (relative) display models for sale soon as store phase this out of their showrooms.

I also think this is sad, as I love my Wolf open-burner rangetop, too. I especially love it all the more after reading about the simmer problems on the new Capital Culinarian I'd previously been sort of envying...
