I'm not sure if this helps you, but I have a Jenn-Air side by side for 5 years which I have been very happy with. (pseudo counter depth, the doors are not flush.) I picked it because I like the inside configuration/shelves the best for the models I was looking at. My only problem has been the ice maker, which can get stuck/clogged. We have always managed to fix it ourselves. I wish all my appliances were this reliable.

I have the Jenn-Air 36" CDFD sitting in my living room. Not installed yet, but looks great - LOL. I think if you search Jenn-Air fridges on this and the kitchen forum, you'll find that people are happy with theirs. We are installing a separate undercounter ice maker so this will not be an issue. I also chose the JA because of the handles. Other than that, and the liners in the freezer drawers, it's the same fridge as the KA.

As far as i can tell from this and other discussions, the ice maker is the main problem with JA refrigerators. Unfortunately ice makers seem to be a problem with all fridges, so I'm sticking with Jenn-Air. If/when the ice maker malfunctions, at least I'll still be happy with the handles! Yep, 25 years ago we had a GE fridge which we loved. The only thing that went wrong was - you guessed it - the ice maker.
Must be in all the ice makers' DNAs. They are probably all manufactured by the same company for every freezer in every fridge.

I have the Jenn-Air FD/Pro handles reg depth(we recessed our wall) and I LOVE it. I especially love the large drawer. It fits a large tray of eggs and all the cheese and cold cuts that anyone could possible have. I like the water inside and the ice below. I know I am in my fridge compartment more then the freezer so I just love my freezer on the bottom. It is also very quiet. Mine is 4 months old.
