 o
Miele Gas Cooktop?

Does anyone have experience with the Miele gas cooktop? We are looking at the 36". According to the local appliance store, they are the only one which still designs their cooktops so that you can light them with a match (power failures are a way of life here...)

So...I am *hoping* for favorable reviews of the miele...or for somebody to tell me the salesman lied about my other options! Contractor needs to know by Tuesday which cooktop is going in so he can work on the venting.

THANKS.

RE: Miele Gas Cooktop?

AFAIK all gas cooktops can be lit with match.

Most new gas ovens can not be lit with match as they don't have pilots.

Miele does not offer anything special with regards to gas appliances.

Miele is very good with electric appliances and extremely good making appliances that use electricity and water.

BlueStar RBCT365BSS is the best 36" gas cooktop.

It is about $150 more than the Miele.

Here is a link that might be useful: BlueStar RBCT365BSS
