The only exclusive GE finish is Slate, which is a kind of gun metal grey.

GE SS appliances use 304 SS just like almost every one else. A few appliances from American brands and some Chinese brands use a cheaper darker 430 SS. Every roll of SS might have a slightly different grain or color depending on the exact percentage of nickel in the blend. There is a slight variance inside all brands and between brands.

In your price range I would look at GE, Frigidaire, or one these two rebranded as a Kenmore at Sears. Sometimes with deals promotions you can get more for your money from Kenmore.
