| I am sorry if this is a stupid question but I have never gotten any major appliances online (b/c I wanted them to be "service-able" locally) and don't know the logistics.
It turns out that the only dealer around here who used to carry Gaggenau appliances, has discontinued the line b/c they couldn't get parts (IDK why). I have read many reports here about buying from AJ Madison, Ebay, and others. Let's assume that the product is not a "lemon" and is purchased from an authorized out-of-state dealer. We all know that any appliance may need service and/or parts down the road. What happens then? |

| I think you are wise in checking out the service aspect. All things mechanical need servicing sooner or later. You can contact the manufacturer and find out who services their appliances in your area. If you live in a place that's "off the beaten path" - you might be better off to buy everyday applicances. |
