The first thing you should do is read read read, not reviews, but to find out which features matter to you and which don't. I'll start you off :-). I have the Bosch 5065NIT. I love it. The two things I like best are 1) individual hob timers (set something to simmer for an hour, or cook rice) and 2) direct-select power levels. On the latter point there are several different types - the kind you have to tap-tap-tap, the kind you slide your finger over, and the kind I have, which is the numbers 0 to 9 with dots in between - you just press the button for the whole or half step you want. For example, I will boil water by pressing 9, and then once it boils, I'll press 2-1/2 or 3 to reduce to a simmer.

Also, you should look at the configuration of the burners - they're all different.
