48" Fridge Selection

Well, I now need to select a fridge for our new kitchen. Previously had a Kitchenaid 48" (circa 2004) which worked well although the ice maker needed to be replaced under warranty.

So, I'm looking at the KA kssc48QVS which is basically the same model as my old unit but updated slightly. Anyone have experience with it? Don't want to spend much more than $7-8k on a fridge and only have room for up to 48". Any other I should consider in this price range?

Buy a floor model from the local appliance store.

Towers are great, except for the stool my wife needs to get to the top shelves :-)

Maybe I should clarify - we need a fridge/freezer combo in stainless. Looked at the Electrolux all fridge/all freezer combo which is nice but definitely too wide at 64". Can anyone point me to towers/columns in the 24" width (or total of 48" or less)?

Try Termador, but go see them, the top shelf can be 6 feet high
