LG vs GE gas range with double oven

Hi all,
I have been researching freestanding gas ranges with double ovens and trying them out in store, and the best options for our price range are the GE 6.8 cu. ft. (http://www.homedepot.com/p/GE-6-8-cu-ft-Double-Oven-Gas-Range-with-Self-Cleaning-Oven-in-Stainless-Steel-JGB850SEFSS/204403784#customer_reviews) and the LG 6.1. cu. ft. (http://www.homedepot.com/p/LG-Electronics-6-1-cu-ft-Double-Oven-Gas-Range-with-EasyClean-Self-Cleaning-Convection-in-Lower-Oven-in-Stainless-Steel-LDG3036ST/204186616). Both have pretty much the same features, and are almost the same price. The sale ends today, so I need to go make a decision soon, but got swamped with work and haven't been able to solicit advice until now.

Overall, the reviews I have found on both are good, and I would probably prefer the LG b/c even though it is smaller, it still seems to have more room in the lower oven, and the oven itself is not QUITE as low to the ground as the GE oven, it looks marginally nicer and matches our LG fridge, and it is convection (I don't need convection as of now, and wouldnt pay more for it, but the convection version is now the same price as non-convection, so I may as well get it just in case I would like it in the future). Although reviews for both are overall positive, there are some LG comments that are troubling--in particular that some have experienced temp fluctuations in the oven, the cooktop gets stained upon use and is impossible to clean to look new, and LG customer service is a hassle. Others don't mention any of these things.

Does anyone have experience with either oven to advise if I should get or avoid either? Also, can the addition of the convection oven possibly be a liability (i.e. another bell or whistle to break down) and should I actually avoid that if I am not likely to give it much use?

Thank you!!
