What about Bosch CD SXS Refrigs?

| I have narrowed my cooking appliances down. I want to stay with no more than two brands.
I have decided on Bosch dishwasher-still looking at the various mdls.
But what about Bosch refrigs? I need a 24-25 cu ft counterdepth, energy star, side x side, icemaker in door. I do want quiet.
does anyone have experience with this brand? if not, any other comparable brand you would recommend?
Thanks for reading and all replies. |

| I've posted elsewhere on the appliance or kitchen forum about my satisfaction with the Bosch counter depth sxs. The Bosch linea 800 is a beautiful, functional machine and is virtually silent. (We bought it at Sears last summer 2009 for about $2,000 after all the rebates and discounts.) What I love best beside the looks is that food stays fresh 3 to 4 times longer than in our old Amana fridge. Our Bosch fridge is only about 20-21 cu ft. So it is smaller than the fridge you are looking for. The smaller size, however, is just right for our family of four since one son is at college for 8 months each year, we grocery shop at least twice a week and we have a small kitchen. |

| I have the Bosch CD SxS. It looks beautiful, the finish is very easy to keep clean. I like the ability to have the things I need in the freezer at eye level because I don't like freezer drawers. The fit and finish is very nice. However, it isn't as large as you are looking for, and the freezer is very small. We don't freeze turkeys or large pizzas, but in hindsight I'd prefer a unit without water/ice in the door. It takes up a lot of room, after the novelty wore off we stopped using the water dispenser, and it would be just as easy to scoop the ice out of a freezer bin than wait for it to dispense into a cup (and spray bits of ice on the floor). Our additional beverage fridge makes the Bosch workable for us, otherwise I'd look for a way to get something larger. |

| I can buy a B20CS51SNS floor model for $1300. Any info on that one? |

Seems like the main reason to have one is for the dispenser and if you don't want to waste all that space, why not just stick w/ a conventional type? Bill/Memphis |
