Special Purchase

I bought some appliances the other day from a regional factory appliance store. The fridge I picked out was only avail. as a floor model (but I see it online all over the place). He steered me to another very similar fridge but it was $100 more. It did have fancier shelves and led lighting instead of fluorescent lighting. I have looked this model up, and it is not listed in GE's line-up but you can search for it online at GE and find it but not compare it to their other models. It is being sold in only a few places online. It was tagged as special purchase. What does this mean? I am wary because there are no reviews for it. It is almost identical to another GE that is widely reviewed well, but it just seems shrouded in mystery and that is bothering me.

RE: Special Purchase

Often a manufacturer will make a special model that is only available at a particular retailer. Typically it's similar to one of their standard models but with some slight variations - usually more features and/or a better price.
