I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher with issues. The first thing that happened was whatever supports the door so it just doesn't fall apparently broke. I need to know if cables are used to lower the door and what it takes to changed them. The next thing that happened was while in the middle of a wash cycle the door opened up on its own and since the door supports were already broke the door fell straight down. I thought the dishwasher was suppose to lock the door once the cycle started. When I closed the door to try to get the washer to start again all I get is a blinking green light. Does anyone have a idea why the door would all of a sudden unlock itself and what it takes to repair the door supports?
