Has anyone put a free-standing beverage center undercounter

Yes, I know you should get a "built-in" unit for proper ventilation, etc. However, the $2,000-$3,000 sticker price for storing some cans of pop and beer, and maybe a couple of wine bottles seems ridiculous. Has anyone used the less expensive 'free-standing" units under their counters, maybe giving a few inches of ventilation space? This is in a wet bar area next to the kitchen, and appearance isn't as important as in other areas. Any pictures?

Yes, I did that with a GE wine fridge, similar to beverage cooler. It's in our mudroom/laundry. Much less than built in, allows access and it's worked fine for 10 years. Photos below.
