We have been using our newly-installed Bosch 800 series DW for less than 2 weeks. It completely dries everything unless it's run in express mode (30 minutes) in which case some things come out damp.

Our Bosch 800 Plus series DW is a year old. Like all U.S. brand DWs I've had before that actually had heat elements, there is still water pooled in the bottoms of up-turned coffee mugs, etc. Plastics will have a few drops of water on them.

~Everything else is dry as soon as the cycle finishes, but too hot to handle anyway.~ The final rinse cycle is heated to such a high temp that the everything in the Bosch DW are too hot to handle, immediately after a cycle finishes. That residual heat is what dries out the water.

In my opinion & experience, there is not a lot of difference between a heated drying element and none. This DW does such a fantastic job of cleaning - and way better than anything I have owned in the past - that more stuff goes into it and I rarely am hand-washing casserole dishes, pots, etc. anymore. I love it!

Is the 800 Plus series their top of the line?
How well do the bottom line Bosch or Miele's dry?

I have a Bosch that was installed in 2002. It’s 2020 and it’s still going strong. Great dishwasher.
