Call the manufacturer of any of the brands you are interested in to check if their warranty covers refurbished pieces

I would not touch a new Viking refrigerator with a 10 foot pole. Refurbished? Forget about it.

I would be wary of brands with better reputations as well. I remember reading on this forum about a scammer who claimed to refurbish SubZero fridges. There were many complains about thousands of dollars being sent to this person with no product ever delivered.

I bought my LG range from RefurbKing.com ... It arrived promptly, they packed it well enough it could have survived an air drop from 500 feet, and although they warned the might be "cosmetic" damage, I couldn't find anything.

Saved over 50%.

They have a contract with LG to refurbish and resell anything damaged in shipment.

What about GE monogram? they are giving a 1 yr warranty on a refurbished 42 refrigerator and DH thinks its a great deal.
