Appliances Ordered

Just ordered a set of appliances for the renovation of our 1935 era kitchen.

Sub-zero 36" FD - best option for very space-constrained galley kitchen
Bluestar Platinum 36" - love the open, cast iron burners, and griddle/grill!
Bosch 800 plus DW - haven't had a dishwasher in 7 years! The Bosch looks terrific love the third rack
Zephyr 42" Venezia range hood - perhaps slightly undersized but we aren't big wok cookers and it is 4x more CFM than our existing hood, like the brushless DC motor and lighting and the look is very sharp

Thanks to all of the forum posters for feedback on the decisions, an agonizing process! Will post feedback when they are installed.

Some notes:

- Sub-zero and Bluestar prices seem to be non-negotiable, although we were able to get a $250 discount on the hood as a "bundle" deal with the range and DW
- Bosch had a $200 DW rebate
- Bought the Sub-zero at Best Buy / Pacific Sales - opened a best buy credit card for the purchase and received 10% back as a gift card, no problem to spend the $989 rebate on finishing the kitchen (AV system, microwave)! This was the only way I found to get a discount. Also Pacific sales delivers and installs it for free which is a significant savings over some of the boutique appliance stores.
- Sub-zero has their annual price increase scheduled for tomorrow (Feb 1), I saw the new official price list they go up 4% (ridiculous twice the rate of inflation)
