Please Comment on My Appliance Selection!

I am doing a kitchen renovation and have searched the world over for appliances that both look nice and wont break the bank. Here is what Ive come up with :

36" cook top Viking

I love the way this thing looks, I cant find another that is this industrial but elegant. I know there are cheaper but none seem to make me as happy.

42" Hood Viking

Ditto on the above comments here.
30" Oven Bosch

30" Micro + Trim Bosch http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/HMB8050.html HMB8050

30" Warming Bosch
http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/HWD3050UC.html HWD3050UC

24" Dishwasher Bosch http://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/SHX53T55UC.html SHX53T55UC

full size refrig Samsung

OR ... Electrolux EI28BS80KS --- still trying to decide on this ...

Im leaning toward Electrolux, to match style of wine fridge.

Wine Fridge Electrolux

Anyone have any real world experiences with anything on this list ?

Im also wondering if the finishes will match. They are all stainless, but i want to ensure no issues matching. The oven/micro/warming drawer are the only 3 right in a line. the rest are situated a few feet apart at least.

Thanks

In my previous house, I had theViking cooktop you've selected (but installed 7 years ago, so it may have changed some). To be honest, I got it because I loved the way it looked, and I assumed it would work well. I have to say I hated it. Among other things, the grates were too high, simmer didn't simmer AT ALL (even after I had it calibrated), the numbers wore off on the dials, and I didn't like having the super-burner on the front because the hood didn't capture everything from that burner (admittedly, that may have been as much a function of the hood as the cooktop).

On the other hand, in my new kitchen, I've had a Bosch 800 series dishwasher in use for the last week and a half and I love it. Everything is cleaner than it's ever been before - sparkling clean and super-quiet (unless you're running a not-full load with a bunch of large bowls or pots, you can't even hear that its on when you're standing right next to it. I do love the third rack for silverware and utensils, which the one you've chosen doesn't have, but it's still a terrific machine.

I've had the Elux wine fridge for well over 7 years now. It has been completely trouble free, and is quiet~~~alto if you listen "Carefully", You can tell when it is running, which is something I can NOT do with my 48" Jenn-air Fridge.
(I've not heard that succer in the also over 7 years we've owned it). It too has been trouble free, except for an ice maker that died after about 5 years~~~~but was easily replaceable, (by me), and not expensive, (about $135).

I have that same Bosch dishwasher, except I have it with a recessed handle. Haven't had it long enough to know if anything about using it really annoys me but it does a great job cleaning and it's so quiet you cannot hear it running unless you put your ear up to it.

anyways, i just got all this stuff (the electrolux fridge not samsung) from plessers. Gene was a really nice guy to work with and the price i received was 10% less than the local store here after considering no tax, no shipping fee, and a good bit less per appliance. it should all arrive in 2-3 weeks, i will post up my thoughts.

oh and i did go with the viking internal blower 600 cfm. they gave me a good price on it, and if i need more i can always wire in a 2nd fantech inline blower down the line somewhere...

now how to get rid of all the existing appliances ... perhaps craiglist it ? The fridge is almost new and so is the dishwasher. the rest of it is circa 1987, but works really well. maybe good for a local meth lab ...

I've had a Bosch dishwasher for 13 years and have loved it. About one year ago, I had to replace the top rack (we have very hard water, so have our softened water is very high sodium and rusts things) about a year ago. The newer rack configuration is much worse than the old one. The top water arm hits dinner plates on the bottom unless they are in the back left of the washer. The cutlery basket is too small. Think about those things when buying, otherwise, I love my Bosch.

A2- can't wait to see your purchases in your kitchen.
You can try to sell on CL.
If you live in Michigan(based on your handle),check with DetEd as they will pay you to pick up less efficient appliances - refrigerators are on the list but your newer one might not qualify.

i posted the old cabinets and appliances on craiglist, they were sold within 2 hrs (all but the refrig and dishwasher).

wow alot of people looking for older style cabinets i guess. he is a contractor so he will remove them too. my contractor was about to charge $1500 to remove and dump the old stuff, so i saved that and now put $550 back in my pocket, cant beat that.

will try to sell the refrig and dw on craiglist too.

yes i will post pictures of all the new stuff once its in. white cabinets, jacobean hardwoods, light granite, stainless appliances, chrome pulls. should be nice !

A2T2, my electrician wanted my old cabinets --- they didn't look worth taking to me, but he wanted them and I was happy someone would reuse them. Congrats on making money on the deal!

I bought the Viking cook top gas 3 12 yrs ago and hate it. It is hard to get a simmer and
If burner to low constant clicking sound. I have an open family room kitchen and clicking noise drives everyone nuts. The flame is uneven in the ring so nothing cooks evenly.
I wish I would have spent the extra and bought the wolf
