Microwave in a standard cabinet

Is it ok to put a microwave in your kitchen cabinets? I have a small counter top microwave that only gets used to warm up a cup of coffee in the morning or occasionally to soften or melt butter.

I would love to hide it away instead of having it out on the pretty marble countertops. Any suggestions on how to do this? Pictures of your microwave in a cabinet? Is it safe to run a microwave for short periods in a cabinet (with the cabinet door open of course).

I don't see why a microwave in a cabinet with the doors open is any different from a microwave on an open shelf (as mine was in my previous home) or on a shelf with a door that can be closed.
