The pattern is truncated, because this looks like a runner. Identifying the pattern could be difficult, and finding one just like it may be near impossible, but I am no expert. What is it about the rug that you like?

to find something with a bold graphic pattern that you like.

After searching the internet for 45 minutes (thanks for the help), I was able to find the source. It is from the book Decorating the Way I See It by Markham Roberts. I believe this is a bathroom in the Hudson River Valley home he shares with partner James Sansum. You could buy the book or go to the library and see if it describes the rug. Or you might try emailing Roberts, or perhaps email a blog reviewer of the book to see if they will look it up or happen to know.
