 o
Rosenthal Irish Setter circa 1939

My wife and I have been trying to research my Grandmother's white Rosenthal dog. We've seen similar items with chips sell for quite a bit but apparently this is fairly rare and there isn't much out there about it.

We though it was pristine until just now but we just found a couple of hard to see wear-like chips on his belly (white on white and smooth).

Does anybody have any idea what this might be worth? It really looks nice, it's about 9-10" long and almost 6" at the tallest (his head).

Anything you can tell me about this would be great.

Thanks,

Steve

Is this a picture of the dog?
Is there a mark?
I really know nothing about such figurines but for what I might search out on the web.
Perhaps there is the artist's name? Or can you research the mark and then pinpoint the era and find out who was sculpting such things then?
Wish I could help more.
