My grandmother has this chair in her home. It was passed down from her father. She does not know what type of chair it is, who made it or how old it is.
It also has a carving on the finial.

| It's late Victorian, looks like mahogany...carved....side chair... What else would you want to know? there is no way to know who might have made it...unless there is a label. Linda C |

| Yes. I have one in mahogany, with Old Man Winter on the back, and finished off in lion's heads and claw feet. I bought mine maybe thirty five years ago, and never saw only locally like it since that time. Some are bringing very good prices now, depending on the maker and finish details. They are surprisingly comfortable. |
