Not sure why you purchased it if you dislike it so much...what exactly did you want help with? Destroying it? Keeping the fact that you bought it a secret from your friends (good luck with that)? Revamping it into something less hideous? Foisting it onto someone else? What?

was this "thing" rigged for gas at one time? that would change it's age. it looks like a rich, hippy, one-a-be took a tour to the arabian sea in the 60s. i can see the bead curtains and a hooka. it's cool and does have character . if it were mine , i'd weather proof the electrics. mist on some lemon juice to age the patina and swag it over your back deck. maybe a wind chime:)
