Any clues how old this rocking chair is?

Any clues how old this rocking chair is? Has anyone seen one like this before. We want to restore it, but need to see how it was originally. I noticed the 4 metal brackets that support the 2 pieces of metal that support the 5 springs are nailed up into the 2nd row of dowels by seat area with very old nails (not screws). We don't see any markings, but want to restore it. It has been in the family for many years.
