Help: Identify this nautical scene plastic mini cup?

Posted by txbutterfly (My Page) on

I found this little plastic cup at my grandfathers house. It is a cool nautical scene. The cup is plastic. The bottom is unremarkable and is stamped with raised letters, it says Made in U.S.A. and "1". The cup is 2" high and 3" across. My grandfather was a collector of nearly everything. I am hoping someone can help me identify this item. Thank you :)

Well....the fact that it's plastic puts it at 1950 or later. The scenes look like historical scenes on a child's tea set.

Could it have been an indexpesive souvenior from a Pilgrim landing site in New England?
