Yes, and no. It's pretty simple. The hands have somehow just been misaligned to the wrong hour and you need to just physically match their position to what hour the clock is calling out. I'd suggest you turn the hands to when it cuckoos on the hour, note what hour that is and then proceed to adjust the hands to match it. I tried to walk you through it but my directions seem confusing. There are links all over the web to tell you how and it's really simple. Here's one of them you might try. It worked! I counted cuckoos and moved the hands to the next hour. It cuckoo'd correctly, then I moved the hands forward to the actual time. So simple! Thanks!

You are so welcome. I've had cuckoo clocks in my life since childhood, and have had to do maintenance on them myself, since true 'clockmakers' are so rare to find anymore. Next on your agenda will be to make sure the clock is not too fast or slow and that is also easy. One does it merely by sliding the leaf on the pendulum up or down. Over twenty four hours, the clocks keep a reasonable accuracy, but may run a little fast or slow at various points in-between. That's not unusual. Good luck with your clock.
