Don't know about the logo....but that's a nice chair~

No, it is not painted, it is varnished. The man that did it, had to use some stain on it to even out the color. Yes, I love the shape of the back.

There are so many furniture manufactories, antique distributors, and refinishers with those initials and company names, unless one were familiar with the logo itself, I'm afraid they'd be a pain to track down. Especially if it's out of business now.

It is a lovely chair and well worth the salvage.

My post titled "S&S logo" does include a picture of the stylized logo. It is probably turn of the century, so I would assume that the company is no longer in business. I do love the shape of the chair.
