O'Keefe & Merritt Stove

We were purchasing a home recently and found in the Kitchen a 1951 O & M stove......It works but needs a lot of cleaning...the repair man told me I have a "gem of an Antique" and should get it "Restored" and then sell it. He said, it would then draw "big $"...I have visited online sites and see the restored stoves do cost a lot. I would like some input about this item....and even interested persons if I do restore it.

O'Keefe & Merritt was a west coast brand that was once owned by Tappan. In the 70s, I worked for both companies in distribution. Depending on the level of restoration, it could get expensive. Don't know where you live in Texas, but there are a couple of places in the DFW Metroplex that work with older appliances.

Post that over in the kitchen forum and then get out of the way so you don't get run over. If only I weren't done with my remodel.......but I am so someone else should have it.
