| This vase has been in my family since the mid-1800's. (I have 2 of them) The story goes that my great-uncle's father was an international merchant of some type from England and he spent quite a bit of time in Asia. He was given or purchased these vases sometime around 1850.
Does this type of pottery/painting have a name? Are they valuable? Thanks in advance. |

| I know the experts will ask you to photograph the bottom of the vase up close. |
|
| And a clearer picture of the rest and some info about size. It could be called a cobalt glazed plum blossom double gourd shaped vase. |

| Here's the marking on the bottom. I found one online that says it's from the K'ang Hsi Ching dynasty... the markings on mine are the same as the one online... but since I don't know if the person online knows what they're talking about, I'm not putting too much stock into it. |

| Found this one on WorthPoint from 2011. Anybody have a subscription there? |

| The picture is still very blurry. The site linked below is really pretty good for porcelain mark ID. I think your estimate of 1850 is a little early. |

| Ok... there are 2 vases and upon closer inspection, I see that their markings are different. Here is one of the markings... I will post the other in another message seeing as I can only post one photo at a time. |

| Here is a clearer photo of the other marking. This is clear as I can get it, because it's very pale. |

| Thanks for the link Lindac... From what I can tell, it looks like they're Kangxi repros from c. 1880. |
