I just used the restore /Im not happy ,it was strange Id go with lemon oil.we bought a huge antique, cabinet ,it was in a store.theres like 6 separate units,80 small drawers.I put restorer on it .don't like it,It helped but it has a finish in it too, just odd.Not to mention all the wiping on then wipe off I hurt the tendon in my thumb ,it goes out of joint,hurts terrible,its been 6 months.

Clean it before you use anything on it. You can either use a good furniture cleaner from an antique store (nothing with silicone in it) or mineral spirits. Then assess the finish. If it just looks a little dull, the lemon oil or a good paste wax might brighten it up.

The oil could darken it though. I would clean it first as chibimimi suggests and then use paste wax.
