| Crown on top of very old, Mirrored buffet. Very heavy! I would appreciate any info on this. Label says Southern furniture co. Oak Chamber suits/Atlanta,Georgia//////Moore Hunter King Sts., Ga. Railroad.
I live in Seattle so suspect that it came into King St. On the railroad. Mom found and bought this at a yard sale about 60 yr or more. It had been painted over the dark stain. She stripped it off and bleached the wood and put a rez over it. I would think from the dove tailed drawers and old time nails on the back that it is probably around 100 yr. old or so. I would like to put it in newly remodeled room, but it is now in need of some repair, as the veneer is lifting and peeled in one drawer front. |
