Hax Smith Chairs

Help! I am looking for 6 Hax Smith Furniture Company chairs. Made by the Hax Smith Furniture Company
St. Joseph, MO, No. 142 written in crest sticker on bottom of chairs, circa 1920's. I have the table which expands to seat 12 and 6 original chairs with the leather on the seat (inherited from great/great grandparents). I have called antique shops in St. Joseph, searched on craigslist and ebay, to no avail--even a google search brings up nothing on the company. I also have no idea of the value of the table/chairs/leaves I already own--if anyone knows anything about them please let me know. Thank you!

RE: Hax Smith Chairs

Louis Hax was a very illustrious person in St. Joe. They were immigrants from Austria. The Hax furniture Company was disolved in 1974 and had been in business 125 years. I know the genealogy department has info on his business(es) and he was involved in a little bit of everything from banking to mining to transportation, in addition to running a furniture manufactory. That doesn't tell you much about where to find more Hax made furniture, but if you are asking about the antique shops in the area, they surely would be familiar with that name.
