Louis Hax was a very illustrious person in St. Joe. They were immigrants from Austria. The Hax furniture Company was disolved in 1974 and had been in business 125 years. I know the genealogy department has info on his business(es) and he was involved in a little bit of everything from banking to mining to transportation, in addition to running a furniture manufactory. That doesn't tell you much about where to find more Hax made furniture, but if you are asking about the antique shops in the area, they surely would be familiar with that name.
