| I recently acquired a set of 8 red skelton plates made between 79-83 and my question is this. I went to a website that gave me a value of the plate ( i think it was platefinders) but doesn't the number on the back have something to do with it? I thought lower number meant more valuable. That particular website didn't have any sort of question about that. Am I wrong? I am a newbie at this sort of thing. anyway any help would be appreciated thank you |

| It all depends on how many there were in the original; edition...if there were 2000 plates made the value of number 3 would not be more or less than that of number 1998. And collectors plates have very little resale value, so the point is moot. Linda c |
