Odd Spoons

I wish I had a picture of one, but I don't.

The best that I can do is to tell you that my friend found some old spoons in a drawer and was flummoxed as to what they were.

I've done some research on them and I can't find a dang thing about them.

The spoons have two prongs going up and two prongs going down.

Anyone ever heard of such a thing?

Any spoons I know don't have prongs....

Shoot.

I meant forks.

Sounds to me like forks that someone bent to be a place card holder.

I've been reading your expert advice on antiques for some time now, and I had a feeling you could come up with the answer.

I'll bet you've nail it.

It makes perfect sense.

Thank you so much!
