There are three dolphins afloat on figural waves and all stand on a footed base of three turtle dragons (Chinese symbols of prosperity and longevity - both of which I could use a little help with....)

Item measures about 5 1/4" tall and 9" in diameter and is quite heavy. There is some age crazing in the glaze and it appears to be quite old.

It is not signed and I can find no information about its origin and I'm hoping that someone will recognize it and can give me some leads on the maker. And could it be majolica?

LOL! I can post your pictures, but I don't know much about your planter.
Try researching dolphins and turtles in Chinese pottery...I am sure there is some significance....and also sure that your piece is not old Chinese porcelain....but don't know what it is.
