| Can anyone help me out with an ID as to what this is, where it may have been made and maybe when. It measures about 6" across and is made of solid brass or possibly bronze. I have been told that it's a saddle stirrup, but I'm not sure.

| Chinese stirrup - the strap went through the slot in the top. Determining age is difficult, because that style lasted for a long time. Probably cast bronze. |
