Do you think this could be polished and cleaned up

This is a tiffany pen tray said to be bronze with a gold finish. Do you think it could be polished and cleaned up on the top side? Maybe try using "Never Dull"? By the way do you think the I P in the center is someones initials? Thanks, Richie

I am afraid it's already been "cleaned" and any gold has been removed on the top side. Likely you can do no further damage, but leave the bottom alone.
No idea about the initials, but not likely...can't think that a bronze piece would be individually cast for just oner person.
What a shame that someone messed with it....it's beautiful. Looks like it was used for an ash tray...

ok, my partner cleaned it up on his own with "Never Dull" and it actually came out quite good!
