Help with Mason's Vista Plate

Posted by justlinda (My Page) on

Need help with this Vista plate. The color is a very dark shade of red/maroon. Would this be considered pink, or is this "Mulberry"? The size is 10-7/8" so I assume that this is a 'Large Dinner Plate'.

Also, the backstamp just has "Vista England" and not the other writing under this. There isn't a pattern number, only a black squiggle and the letter M or W. Would you happen to know the pattern name.

The pattern is "Vista".....the color is according to Mason...pink. But that color is often referred to as "red transfer ware".
That mark is one of the older ones....dating to about 1950 and before.
I collect the stuff!!
Trying to post a picture but photobucket is not co operating.

Thanks loads. Clears up a bit of confusion on my part. Years ago I found a cup/saucer but the color was more of a pink than a red like this piece.
